SIX ACTORS IN SEARCH OF A DIRECTOR
16th May – 23rd June. Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm, Saturday at 3.30pm
Tickets: £29.50 & £24.50
Steven Berkoff directs the World Premiere of his latest play, 6 Actors in Search of a Director, a comedy set on a film location, for a strictly limited West End season at the Charing Cross Theatre.
Six actors are on a movie set waiting for their call. Until then, they are in limbo, needing the director to bring them to life. He does this merely by using the one magic word - “Action!”
The cast includes Neil Stuke (last seen at the NT in Season’s Greetings, in the West End in Boeing Boeing and Blue Orange, and on TV in the drama series Silk), Philip Voss (one of Britain's pre-eminent performers of Shakespeare, whose credits include numerous performances at the RSC and for the Peter Hall company), Andrée Bernard (Hollyoaks, Doctor Who, Poirot and Only Fools and Horses), Sarah Chamberlain (Berkoffs’s Biblical Tales at the New End), Ruth Everett (Tiger Country at Hampstead, Rain Man National Tour), Jonathan Sidgwick (Berkoff's Messiah & Oedipus) and Paul Trussell (The King’s Speech, Life is Sweet, Secrets & Lies on film, Sharpe’s Rifles & Sharpe’s Eagles on TV).
Writer and director Steven Berkoff has written this latest stage play based on his experiences of shooting more than 50 movies, including playing villains in the Hollywood blockbusters Beverly Hills Cop, Rambo and most recently The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. He has directed and appeared in numerous stage productions and written original stage plays including East, Decadence, The Secret Love Life Of Ophelia, Massage, Acapulco, Brighton Beach Scumbags, Kvetch and Sit And Shiver.

PATRICIA ROUTLEDGE - FACING THE MUSIC
Patricia Routledge In conversation with Edward Seckerson - Presented by ROTARYACT in support of Polio Plus, ShelterBox and Soho Theatre Writers' Centre.
Sunday 17th June at 7.30pm
Ticket :£25.00 & £17.50 (Ticket prices includes drinks and canapé reception)
Although best known for her many television roles in such shows as Keeping Up Appearances, Hetty Wainthrop Investigates and Victoria Wood as seen on TV, it is still one of the best kept secrets in show business that Patricia Routledge trained not only as an actress but also as a singer and had considerable experience and success in musical theatre, both in this country and in the United States of America.
Her many awards include a Tony for her Broadway performance in the Styne-Harburg musical Darling of the Day (1967) and a Laurence Olivier Award for her performance in Leonard Bernstein's Candide (Old Vic 1989). Her one woman show Come For The Ride toured the UK in 1988 and in 1992 she played Nettie Fowler in the highly acclaimed production of Carousel at the National Theatre. In 1998 she was honoured with the Gold Badge of Merit by the Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors.
Edward Seckerson's diligent discovery of her 'musical life' makes for a fascinating evening.
This ROTARYACT fundraising theatre event is organised by Rotary Club of Westminster East & Rotaract Club of Westminster.
